Tutorials
My approach to tutoring is student focused. Recognising and supporting individual needs is a core aspect of my practice. The pace of lessons and resources used are adapted to meet the learning needs of students. Using a range of evidence-based strategies, my teaching ensures that students can develop their understanding and practice applying their knowledge.
Tutorials are interactive, making use of a range of tools to engage students and assess understanding. Students are given the opportunity to consolidate their learning through structured examples, targeted at developing a strong understanding of the chemistry being studied. Feedback is given regularly to aid progress. My students report that they are well supported and feel comfortable asking questions and contributing during tutorials.
